The Tairāwhiti Economic Action Plan (TEAP) sets out the strategic priorities and actions for delivering economic transformation for the region.
Refreshed in December 2019, the revised document incorporates the priorities and aspirations of Tairāwhiti iwi and contains nine themed action areas.
TEAP programme management covers progress updates on TEAP actions. It also aligns outcomes and benefits of actions to the TEAP operations group, the Rau Tipu Rau Ora governance group, and the wider community.
The report highlights the long-term challenges it could pose for the region, including the potential for significant job losses. It was funded by Trust Tairāwhiti following a request from a concerned community delegation and endorsed by the Tairāwhiti Economic Action Plan (TEAP) Operations Group for public release.
